Star Wars Day x Funko – Influencer Marketing

Every year, Star Wars Day gives fans a reason to celebrate one of the world's most beloved franchises. To mark May the 4th and build anticipation for the release of the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars Funko Pop! collection, MKM executed a targeted influencer gifting campaign focused on authentic fandom.

Rather than casting a broad net, MKM identified and sourced dedicated Star Wars creators and collectors whose audiences actively engage with franchise news, collectibles and fan culture. Fifteen creators received the latest The Clone Wars Pop! figures ahead of their May 20 release, giving them an opportunity to showcase the collection during one of the most celebrated moments on the Star Wars calendar.

The gifting featured four fan-favorite characters from The Clone Wars series: ARC Trooper Fives, Commander Wolffe, Plo Koon and Shaak Ti. By aligning the product launch with May the 4th festivities, the campaign generated timely, organic content from creators already participating in the global celebration of Star Wars fandom.
